.Group for parents(caregivers) of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Autism, Asperger’s, PDD NOS).
This group runs for 8 weeks and addresses the most important issues faced by parents of children who have been diagnosed with ASD within the last 5 years. Among topics covered in this group are coping with the diagnosis, learning self-care skills, and “Do’s and Don’ts of Discipline” – a detailed overview of the famous parenting program developed by Dr. Saul Fisher which helps parents foster independence and competence skills in their children.
