Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006
We expect our tutors to be able to work with a wide range of clients including those who may have behavioral, emotional, and/or learning problems. Our tutors can act as academic "coach," not just "tutor." They communicate with teachers, parents, and therapists (if necessary) in order to take on a "team" approach. They also work very effectively with college age and adult learners. Through mentoring, we incorporate all aspects of a person’s life, not just focus on subject matter.
Academic tutors are required to provide to the Center, ACT 34 and ACT 151 Clearance Forms indicating that both Criminal Record and Child Abuse History checks have been completed and approved since September of the most current calendar year. These must be submitted prior to initiating client services. If the potential provider does not have current approved forms, he/she will be provided with these forms and directions for completion. Following receipt by the Center and approval of the forms, the provider may begin providing services.
