Jeanne DiVincenzo, Psy.D.
I provide psychotherapy to a wide and diverse range of clients, with the goal of helping them transform their difficulties into lifelong change that will benefit them and their relationships. My style is collaborative, empathic, and is based on building a safe and trusting environment in which my clients can better understand themselves, their relationships, and their behaviors. I believe in helping my clients build a foundation for future growth by working to gain insight about areas in their lives or within themselves that limit their growth and satisfaction. At the same time, I help my clients develop "tools" for managing difficult emotions and situations that may prevent them from meeting their full potential. I work with individuals, families and couples, and have experience treating a wide range of mental health difficulties, in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
In addition to my clinical work, I provide psychological and psychosocial testing to assess learning, cognitive, and psychological difficulties that might get in the way of an individual reaching his or her full potential in school, work, and in social situations. I teach graduate courses in Psychology at Chestnut Hill College, and provide workshops to mental health practitioners, clinics, educators, and psychiatric hospitals. I received a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College in 2009, and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2004 from the same college. I received a B.A. from the University of Rochester, with a major in Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
